The Els for Autism 2013 Golf Challenge is a series of regional golf events open to amateur golfers of either gender to benefit the Els for Autism Foundation. The Golf Challenge will be played throughout the US and Canada during the 7-month period from April through October, 2013. The Els for Autism Golf Challenge also includes a non-golfer option, called the Els for Autism Gallery Club. Teams that raise $13,000 or more in donations will advance to The Grand Finale, to be held in Las Vegas on the 13th and 14th of October, 2013.
The Els for Autism 2013 Gallery Club is a virtual fundraising event. Teams participating in the Gallery Club must also raise $13,000 or more to advance to the Grand Finale. Gallery Club teams will not participate in a Regional golf event but may participate in the Finale golf tournament if interested.
What is the scoring system used at the Golf Challenge events?
Two-person combined low-net using the Callaway Scoring System. No handicap needed to participate.
What are the participant restrictions?
The Golf Challenge is open to all amateur golfers. At least one team member must be 18 years of age or over.
How does my team qualify for the Grand Finale in Las Vegas?
Teams that raise $13,000 or more in donations will advance to The Grand Finale, to be held in Las Vegas on the 13th and 14th of October, 2013. Teams competing in Super Regional events or members of the Els for Autism Gallery Club can ONLY qualify for the Grand Finale by raising $13,000 or more. All teams across the series and in the Gallery Club will have up until 5pm EST on September 30, 2013 to qualify for Las Vegas via the $13,000 route.
What is included in a team’s Grand Finale qualification?
- Access to the Grand Finale in Las Vegas on October 13th and 14th, 2013 for a two-person team with one guest per player
- 1 x two player team in the Grand Finale golf tournament
- Pro Clinic with PGA TOUR professionals (for golfers only)
- Invitation to the Welcome Party
- Invitation to awards ceremony and gala celebration presented by SAP
- Two nights accommodation at Caesars Palace (based on double occupancy)
- Autism seminar for team guests
- Luxury Gift Bag for each player
- Opportunity to win major prizes including trips to Africa, South America, and the UK
Will low-net Regional event winners advance to the Grand Finale?
No, low-net winners will not advance to Las Vegas in 2013. Teams must raise $13,000 to qualify for the Finale. Low-net winners will be awarded with a Regional event prize.
How do I register for an event in the Golf Challenge?
Visit www.e4agolf.com and click the ‘Event Schedule’ tab on the top navigation bar. Choose the event you are interested in participating in. Once you’ve reached the Regional event page, you have two options. To sign up online with a credit card, click the blue ‘sign up online’ button and follow the steps through registration. To mail in a check, click the blue ‘print sign up form’ button to download the PDF version of the registration form. You may then print, fill out, and return to Els for Autism with payment.
How do I donate to a Golf Challenge team?
Visit www.e4agolf.com and click the ‘Donate’ button on the home page. Search for the person you are looking to donate on behalf of and click the link for their TEAM. Now that you are on their team page, click the green ‘donate now’ button and donate. They will receive notification of your donation.
